Girolamo Bossi
(Pavia, 1588 - 1646)
Professor of Eloquence in Palatine School of Milan, lecture of latin and greek rethoric at the University of Pavia, he was member of the Accademia degli Affidati. In his will from 22 May 1646 he left its library to the Fathers of Sant’Antonio del Borgo Ticino, and ordered that his manuscripts were burned, but his confessor obtained the suspension of that disposal.
He was the author of numerous scholarly works, among which Notizie delle Chiese e Monasteri di Pavia, manuscript preserved at the library in Ticinesi Stock (Ticinesi 182).
