Local loan

Library allows you to borrow books. When you register, you will be provided with a username and a password (that you will be able to customize in the future) to login to Fluxus, a software used to manage the loan procedures. This software is linked to OpenWeb, which lets you check which books are available. You can reserve them and take them within the 3 following days. If the book you require is already borrowed by someone else, we will send you an e-mail, when it will be available again. OpenWeb provides the user with a personal page where you can extend your loans and check the expiry dates.

Service can be accessed from the Library computers or from any other one, provided with internet connection.

Users can’t borrow more than 4 volumes at a time. The loan lasts 30 days, and it can be extended for other 30 days one more time, if nobody else has reserved the books. After that, volumes must be returned, and users have to wait 7 days it they want to borrow them again. The extension of the loan con be done by the users themselves, starting from 7 days before the expiring date.

It is forbidden to underline and damage the books.

Books can also be returned through recorded delivery.

Mandates

If a substitute is in charge of taking the loan for another user, it must be communicated by e-mail (bu-pv@beniculturali.it) to the Loan Department. In the e-mail, users will have to write the delegate’s particulars and the delegate will have to present his or her ID. As an alternative, the delegate will have to present a written mandate.
